About ME
Hi, I'm Matthew Pesler, the owner and director of Grand Welcome in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Northern Kentucky. I grew up near Dayton OH, where I graduated from Wright State University with a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership. Since then I have lived in numerous cities including Boston, Denver, and Nashville…but am proud to now call Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky my home.
I started out in business management, and more recently am co-owner of a successful insurance agency right here in Cincinnati. My love for travel and hospitality eventually led me to my true passion, vacation rental management. I’m grateful to my family, who have always been my biggest supporters.
Over the past decade, I've built a personal short-term rental portfolio consisting of 30 units throughout the area and have assembled an amazing team that truly goes above-and-beyond to provide the best vacation rental experience.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking at the numerous beautiful parks, kayaking, golfing at Cincinnati and NKY’s many courses and listening to live music at local venues. My wife, Marianne, and I appreciate experiencing the diverse food scene, catching a sporting event, and spending time with our son at the zoo, aquarium, and museums.

Hi, I'm Ian Rickert. I've been in the construction industry since the age of 14 and love revitalizing old buildings in and around Montgomery County. Seeing old buildings come back to life is a true passion of mine.
I pride myself on quality work ensuring that every job is completed as if were for myself and my family. I've had the opportunity to hone my skills in leadership, problem-solving, and team management throughout my career, and I'm ready to put all of that experience to work for you.

My family and I love attending the local events and parades of Mt. Adams. The architecture and masonry is always a favorite of mine, along with Mt. Adams Bar & Grill.

This was one of the best AirBnB experiences I have ever had. The house is very accommodating for a large family and had plenty of amenities. We brought utensils for cooking and we didn’t have to use any of our stuff because the kitchen was well stocked. The host also provided plenty of bathroom and bedroom amenities. Plenty of towels and blankets. The experience was excellent and I highly recommend!

Our experience was more than great! The house we stayed in was in a beautiful neighborhood in Covington, KY. We were there for around a month. It was very clean, spacious, nicely furnished, newly remodeled, and you could not hear the upstairs tenants at all. We had a lot of trouble with that issue previously with other people we had booked with. Comfort was a 10/10. The few parks close by for the kids to play were a major plus for us. We were staying close to Cincinnati Children’s for my daughters chemo treatments, and it was a short and easy commute. We felt very much at home, which was our main goal for our kids since we were 4 hours from our home in WV. Communication with Matt and Crystal, the property manager, was excellent. Super hospitable, kind, generous people! I highly recommend booking with them!
